Kids Say the Darnedest Things

So we're sitting at the dinner table eating our $.99/lb cherries (which were FANTASTIC) as dessert. Allison starts grunting, no doubt giving us a stinky diaper to change. Then she toots. Loudly. Brandon and I kind of giggle and tell her to say "Excuse me."
She says, "You heard that?"
We say, "Yes, pumpkin."
Allison - "You heard the burp from my bottom?"

Apparently, when you tell a 2 year old to say excuse me when she burps and then tell her to say excuse me after a toot, she assumes they are the same thing.

OH MY GOSH-that is EXACTLY what Tyson used to call his passed gas. I am so not kidding. Stuart and I would roll anytime he would say that. Now he calls it, "making noises from his bottom."
