Time to get back on the blogging wagon!! I think I'm going to also start going back and putting labels on old posts to make things easier to find. We'll see how long THAT takes!
Here are pictures from Jordan's float test from swimming. The girls take swimming lessons at Houston Swim Club. Their philosophy on the under 5 year olds is teach them to float. Teach them that if they fall into water, they flip to their back and float until they reach an edge or someone finds them. So they do 3 "float tests". The first one is shorts and a tshirt. The second is pants and a longsleeve shirt. And the third is jeans and a longsleeve shirt. Shoes with all three tests. And you can only wear your swimsuit underneath on the first two.
Jordan did great on her first two. Her only issue is that she got to the corner of the pool, by the stairs and never hit an edge. So she just kept floating. Her teacher finally said, "You can grab the wall now, Jordan." Her other issue after the first one was that she didn't have her color coin (a colored poker chip that identifies what class they're in) and so she freaked out when it was time to go back to her class.
This was the final test. If she passes this one, she gets a cowbell (which they ring when you pass a float test) and a cool shirt.

I don't remember why she was crying here (other than she was EXHAUSTED). But it was funny.
Yay for our little fish!! She promoted too so today (Thursday) is her first day as a Dolphin (the same level Allison is in). She LOVES the water!!
