Allison's San Antonio Visit (and What We Did Without Her)

Okay, time for a MASSIVE post. Get ready for lots of pictures!!

This was actually a few days before she left. She figured out how to put on Brandon's 5K shirt (backwards but hey, you've got to start somewhere).

While Allison was gone, Jordan learned to climb the stairs.
And stand on them.
And participated in her first 5K - The Sprint for Life benefiting ovarian cancer research. She did okay in the backpack the first 1.5 miles. Then we had to carry her (and bribe her with Goldfish). The last 1/2 mile were BRUTAL. She was just screaming her head off. But when we turned a corner (about 1/4 mile left) you could almost see the finish line and you could hear music and all the people who had already finished cheering. Jordan LOVED this part. She was clapping and dancing and waving. (And because of all that, getting her picture taken by the race photographers!) After Brandon and I finished, we went back and walked across the finish line with Heidi, the inspiration for our team. And apparently, our team got Most Spirited!! Go Jazzercise!!!! :)
Now on to Allison's weekend. The first night, she got to eat at Cici's. Do you think she misses us???
Followed by a trip to Wal-Mart to get bubbles.
She capped off the night by watching some TV with Papa. (My dad was shocked at her sitting like this. He made my mom take the picture).
But then she settled down to snuggle with Papa before bed.
The next day was a trip to SEA WORLD!! Allison LOVED feeding the dolphins.
And meeting Pete Penguin. (Apparently, Papa hasn't been to theme parks with a 2 year old in a while. Let her out of her stroller Papa!!!)
She loved Shamu's Happy Harbor (a splash park for toddlers).
Again, do you think she missed us?
Later that day, someone from my mom's work came over with their family. Allison and their little boy had lots of fun playing.
The both loved the beach balls.
She also really enjoyed sitting on my mom's raft. (Last year she HATED it).
Here are the kiddos relaxing after eating ice cream sundaes.
Her first bubble bath!
Snuggling with Papa and MeeMaw (or Mimi) on Mother's Day
Apparently, my mom put Allison to work vacuuming.
And then she rocked out on her guitar!!
Mother's Day evening, she got to go to her first Garcia party. If you haven't been to one, you're missing out. The Garcias know how to throw a party!! Here she is playing in the pool with Debbie. (PS - If anyone knows where to get this pool toy, please let me know!)
And of course, flirting with Marcus!! She got to play with Baby Emma too! (Emma is 3 weeks younger than Jordan). Allison was VERY good and even shared Birthday Bear when they first got there.
Emma and Allison watching the mariachis (I told you, Garcia parties rock!)
Again with Marcus!
Saying goodbye to Stacey. I guess the goodbye part was a little traumatic because Emma took Birthday Bear and held on for dear life (you can tell she goes to daycare!). Allison was not willing to share at that point.
The last day was the zoo. Here she is riding the train.
The highlight of her day was "eating animal crackers at the zoo!" My mom said she thought this was the funniest thing ever and couldn't stop laughing! (Look at that smile...do you think she missed us yet?)
Her other favorite part of the zoo - the petting area
Eating lunch at the airport (Mom had to scrape everything off of her burger for her. And made the mistake of not putting her milk in her cup at first).Sometimes (like here) she says, "Take my picture!" and she'll pose with Monkey
Sad. I don't think she missed us one bit! This is in one of the gate areas. Allison set up a tea party (and everyone, including the guy in the background) kept watching her and just cracking up.
Thank you Nana and Papa for a great weekend!!! Allison had a GREAT time and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed some alone time with Jordan.
We also enjoyed a grown up dinner. I made Penne ala Vodka (it was okay) and a FANTASTIC salad - Heart-y Salad (with hearts of romaine, palm and artichoke). We liked that so much, we ate it again the next night!
