Rocky Moutain High

Mom flew in on Wednesday night. Brandon and I were able to go see Harry Potter. Yet again, we planned part of my mom's visit around a movie!

We flew out Thursday morning. It was SO great to be able to just carry on! And to not have to deal with strollers, car seats, diaper bags, etc. We were able to read and do Sudoku on the plane. And when we had a lay over in Albuquerque, we were able to have a drink! Flying is a LOT less stressful when it's just 2 adults. :)

We got in Thursday and Bonnie and Russ picked us up. We headed back to Bonnie's parents' place where Bonnie's mom stuffed us with food. I then went to Jazzercise (3 miles from our hotel!!). Our hotel was really fun. We found it on Priceline. It was called The Curtis. It was pretty trendy (Brandon wasn't a huge fan) but I liked it. Every floor had a different theme (ours was TV Favorites). And the color scheme was all bright (lots of orange). We headed to Qdoba (since we don't have one here) for dinner. Then we ended up walking down 16th Street and back and then at a bar where a crazy drunk South African man told us Rush Limbaugh was dead. Then he asked us if we were getting married, were brother and sister or were Israeli. This was at 730. The bartender asked him and his friend (who was really trying to control him) to leave after he started singing VERY loudly the wrong (and obscene) words to John Mayer/Fallout Boy's version of "Beat It."

We met up with Bonnie's dad and Nick at another bar and then headed back to Bonnie's parents' place. A bunch of Kappa Sigs ended up there so it was a nice reunion.

Friday morning, we headed to the Sheraton and were able to check in early. Got breakfast and met up with Steve. Walked around a bit and then sat down for some early lunch drinks at Rock Bottom. Russ' brother came and picked us up so he could take the guys to get their tuxes. They were a circus sideshow at the tux place (if you can believe that). There was a dad there with his 2 little boys and he was falling over laughing at the 3 of them. After we pryed the tux shop lady off of Steve, we headed back to eat at Old Chicago's (again, since we don't have one).

Then, it was time to meet up with everyone. After a VERY long walk, we finally got to the bar where everyone was meeting before the Rockies game. They had shirts for everyone, drinks and food.

The Groomsmen
This adorable thing had us (Brandon especially) missing our girls. This is my friend Sarah's little girl Leah. Sarah's hubby was running late, so I carried Leah most of the way to the game (since Sarah was carrying Nora). Brandon REALLY wanted to give her a piggyback ride, but she wasn't so sure about him!

The game. Honestly, I don't remember ANY of it. I was talking the whole time. It seemed to FLY by though.
After the game, we headed out on the town. Bonnie and most of the girls went back to her parents' place. Somehow, Bri and I ended up with the boys. It worked out though. I kept an eye on Jesse for Emily and then when she came to pick him up, she took us back to our hotel! Thanks Em!!!
This is a bad picture, but you can really see the shirts!
I'm not sure why but everytime Jesse and Brandon are together THIS happens.
This is the girl that Brandon almost kicked in the face.
The next day was the wedding. The lighting in the church was not agreeing with my camera so this is the only picture I got of Brandon during the ceremony. Since Bonnie's side was packed, Em and I sat on the groom's side. We had better seats this way! (And I figured it would be rude for her and I to sit in the aisle in the middle!) Honestly though, what do you do if you're VERY close to both the bride and groom????
The Hate Club (at the reception)
Hate Club (and spouses....we tried to get Joel to grab a random girl but he wouldn't).
The beautiful bride!
Alpha Phis (we had to go outside because the photographer couldn't fit us all in the picture inside!)
Kappa Sigs doing "American Pie"
Bonnie and the Boys
Michael....doing what he does best. Dancing. To Vanilla Ice.
Until he got showed up by a 5 year old. (She was SO cute. Her mom said she has 1 speed - FAST. She LOVED doing Michael Jackson moves).
This is the daughter of the Rockies owner. She was one of the bridesmaids and she and Brandon were introduced together at the reception (even though they didn't walk together during the ceremony). She LOVED Brandon. Everytime I tried to take his picture, she was right there.

Em came and picked us up Sunday morning so we could head home. After a quick switch with my mom in the parking garage, we headed home with the girls. What a GREAT trip. BIG, big thank yous to Mom and to Emily!!!!
