Catch-Up Post: Houston Rodeo (March 2011)

Brandon's folks were in town again this year for Rodeo.  He took a couple days off and we went during the week.  It was Spring Break but it wasn't too crowded.  It was, however, St Patrick's Day, so we made sure to dress in green!

The girls HAD to ride the ponies.  I really like the indoor one but man, it's hard to take pictures!  Most of them were really blurry and the lighting looks TERRIBLE.

And of course, they saw Ms Moo.

There are 10 or so pictures of the girls looking at the eggs and chicks.  I think all but one have Jordan's nose pressed against the glass like this!

Proof that my girls don't care if they even KNOW the character - they will pose for pictures and hug mascots!

Petting the guinea pigs

And the bunny

On the pretend farm - this was a pretty cool thing.  The kids get to follow a lot of the different aspects of farming from farm to market.  There are seeds that turn into crops that you sell.  Grain that you feed animals that you "milk" that you sell, etc.  It's a pretty big exhibit so Brandon took Allison, Bev took Jordan, Kevin took pictures and I sat on a bench (my knee was KILLING me).

Then Jordan saw this:  The bubbles.  She LOVED every second of it.  She spent the entire time laughing hysterically.

She rode some rides....

Allison was content to watch

They both like the fishing game though

The girls had a blast (as always).  We even got some beignets for dessert!  (Although "fair" ones are not as good as real ones!)
