Sea World

Mom got Allison and I season passes to Sea World. We went on Tuesday and Wednesday this week with my Aunt Barb, Uncle Randy and my cousins Emily and Anna. The girls are ADORABLE together. They had so much fun, whatever they were doing.

Here's the park entrance all decked out for the holidays....

We got to have a behind the scenes tour of the penguins. A couple of the trainers fly on American a lot and have gotten to be friends with my mom. They told her to let them know the next time she was bringing her grandkids and they'd arrange something for us. We picked the penguins. We had to wait for a few minutes for Jason to get there. The girls were happy playing together and running around the plaza in front of the penguins.

Once Jason got there, we went in a door right inside the entrance. We went into a room where they explained they were going to separate us into 2 groups. Dad, Jordan, Anna and I were the first group. We got to go INSIDE the penguin exhibit. We weren't actually ON the snow, but we were right inside the exhibit behind a gate. The penguins were about arms' length away from us. Jordan was PISSED. She wanted down and she wanted to touch them (not allowed). :)

Once both groups had gone into the exhibit, they brought a penguin into the room we were in for us to pet. The rules were: only 1 person at a time, and only pet on the back and wings.

Allison was grouchy while we were there so she did pet the penguin but for some reason I didn't get a picture. I think my Aunt Barb may have, so I'll have to get her pictures later.

After the penguins, we went to lunch. Jordan enjoyed the Jello that Papa bought her. She even used her own napkin.

After lunch, it was time for ELMO! There is a Sesame Street Christmas show. The girls were in a trance. Allison got up at one point and was dancing along. Jordan just kept pointing and clapping.

We left after that because Jordan was falling asleep in the stroller. We did check out the Clydesdales and dolphins on our way out (they're near the entrance).

We went back on Wednesday because Allison wanted to feed the seals and we kept missing it on Tuesday. They've updated a lot of the exhibits since the last time I had been (probably 10 years ago) and they now have lots of viewing windows for little ones. AWESOME.

The seal on the bottom left kept slapping his flipper on the water. It was almost as if he was saying, "HELLO, FEED ME!"

It's hard to tell unless you look closely at the head and flipper of the seal next to this one, but he was HUGE. (He ate most of Allison's fish).

Then we checked out the otters.

They were rubbing on the trees (like cats do) and snuggling. They were being fed so that was fun to watch.

We checked out the Seal and Sea Lion show (very cute holiday themed one) and then headed out. It was nice to have passes because it didn't matter that we were only there a couple of hours (which was plenty long enough for the little kids).

I can't wait to bring them back next summer!!
