Pumpkins 2010

There is a church near us that is known as the "Pumpkin Patch Church".  Every year, they have a really great pumpkin patch.  We decided to go on Sunday since we hadn't been yet this year.

Then it was like pulling teeth to get a good picture of the girls together. 

 Jordan did NOT like the hay on her legs.  We're learning that she's VERY particular about somethings, especially if it makes her itchy or uncomfortable (more on that later). 

It was even chaos on the tractor! 

But we did have some "sisterly" love! 

 There was another good one of the girls but Brandon was making a SUPER weird face.

And this would have been cute without the shadows.  Sigh.  I guess that's what we get for going to the pumpkin patch when it's 85 with 90% humidty outside. 

Then came the fun stuf - CARVING! 

And decorating our little ones (this is 1 of 3 faces that are on this pumpkin). 

While we were carving, our neighbor came over (she attends the pumpkin patch church) and told us that they were doing a special trick or treat event for kids that night.  So we got the kiddos in their costumes and headed back to the church.  They had a trail marked through the patch with people set up about every 10 feet or so with candy and other treats.  The kids got to walk the trail first.  Then they had story time in the courtyard followed by sugar cookie decorating in the hall.  (Our neighbor was helping with the cookies). 

Allison was SO proud of having her hair in a bun and having her clip on it. 

It's hard to tell but we ended up having to put a shirt on Jordan underneath her costume.  With just her costume on, she kept saying "It hurts!" and yanking at the dress.  Normally, they wear their dressup stuff over their clothes.  I guess the seams bother her.  SO she has a shirt on underneath and obviously, she's much happier! 

Story time 

Decorating!!  (Jordan was a little but unsupervised and dumped a TON of sprinkles on hers). 

Allison apparently wasn't job briefed properly.  The cookies were already frosted, so she started eating hers!  We caught her though and my neighbor put some sprinkles in her hand (what we should have done with Jordan) and let her put them on her cookies.  The girls had fun being with the neighbor girls!
