Pasadena Strawberry Festival

We had fun at the Pasadena Strawberry Festival. Maggie was spending the night, so she went with us. Plus, it was the weekend Mom was in town for Jordan's birthday.

Everyone could ride the carousel (no height restrictions)

Next, the big girls rode the Elephant Ride together. (Side note - Those yellow stickers on their back were REALLY cool. It's an emergency contact thing that they were giving out when you bought your tickets to get in. It has my name and phone number and says that this kid should be with me. VERY cool.)
Next up was the Car Ride.
Maggie has been to fairs before so she knows the drill on rides (she practically LEAPED out of her car seat when we drove past in the parking lot and she saw the rides). She wanted to ride the kiddie roller coaster. Okay, cool. Allison, however, did not. So Maggie went up to ride it alone. She was probably 1/2 an inch too short but the guy let it slide since she was so pumped about it.

Allison watched.

Then decided it looked like fun!

This is as it's taking off.

Notice how Allison's head is whipped back? This is right before she threw her arms in the air and screamed and laughed the rest of the way. We have NO idea where she learned that. Maybe it's just instinct that you raise your arms on a roller coaster....

This was HEAVEN. The world's largest strawberry shortcake. That's right, this is DESSERT. It was SOOOO good. It made the entire shopping area smell wonderful too. The pieces they cut were HUGE and so all of us split just 2 pieces. The girls LOVED it.
