We went to the Clerkin's for a Super Bowl Party and had a FANTASTIC time! When we got there, Plute gave Brandon two sheets of paper for the pools. Now, we don't gamble. We go to Vegas to see family and eat (oh, and I guess get married). So after staring blankly at the sheets for 2 minutes, Brandon finally puts his manhood aside and says, "Plute, I don't get it." Plute laughs and says, "Brandon, it's completely luck. If it needed skill, we would have had Amy do it. Just pick a square and put your name in it." So Brandon picked one on one sheet and two on the other and gave Plute $12. One sheet was for quarter ending score and one was the game ending score only. On the quarter one, we had 7-3. So we won $40! (Brandon would like me to point out that we were 2 seconds from another $20 had the Pats scored in the first). Now, during the whole game, I thought we needed the Giants to have a score ending in 8 for the Final Score pool. Apparently, I was just dumb (or pregnant!) and we needed the 7, not the 8. But we didn't realized this until right at the end when someone asked Plute, "Hey, who wins if the Giants score?" (as they were scoring). He said, "The Schrenks" and I had to check the paper again. We won $150 on that one! So now we have grocery money! Whoo hoo!
In addition to the money, Allison was a superstar. She LOVED being around all the guys and gave high fives all night. She only fussed once for like 5 seconds and made it all the way home before she fell asleep. We put her in bed at like 1015 when she's normally in bed at 8! She loved sharing everyone's food and also loved feeding Wade her Cheerios. We had her in the cutest outfit EVER (so all of the Broncos fans present adored her!). All in all, we had a very good day!
Oh, the Chocolate Peanut Butter Gooey Butter Cake (one of the variations at the bottom) was a HUGE hit. A couple people even recognized that it was similar to a Gooey Butter Cake. I'm going to take leftovers to my mom's group this week.
Also this weekend, we went to a first birthday party for one of the kids in our group. Allison had a blast. She actually ate cake! (Big step for us...normally, she says no to cake and yes to fruit only). The cake was BEAUTIFUL and the cupcakes were great (they had a white mousse filling in them!).

Plus, Brandon put up a new shelf for me in our laundry room. We were finally able to get all of our Sam's Club purchases off of the floor.
All in all, a fantastic weekend! I'll have more after Allison's doctor's appointment this afternoon.
